
Below are two lists. The first consists of actors and actresses who have always been considered as Australian, even though they were not born in Australia. The second list consists of those who were born in this country. As you can see, there are quite a lot of very fine performers on both lists. In fact Australians are now ranked third behind the USA and Britain for the number of Oscar nominations per country. Alongside each name I have noted their Oscars, Golden Globes and nominations for both, but only in their capacity as actors.
